Auto Assembly Europe invites you to join us in Uppsala, Sweden, on 12-13 November 2011 for the third Nordic Transformers fan convention

NordCon has joined forces with Europe's largest convention organizer, Auto Assembly, to bring you the biggest Nordic Transformers convention yet!

Now called Auto Assembly Europe, the convention will be taking place at the Clarion Hotel Gillet in Uppsala, Sweden on the weekend of November 12-13. Right smack in the middle of Uppsala, a city filled with history and tradition, just 20 minutes away from Arlanda Airport. Easy to get to, situated on a quiet street free from traffic, close to the busy town centre with restaurants, bars, and shops - that's where you find Clarion Hotel Gillet. We have arranged with discounts at the hotel so that you can get your room cheaper during the weekend!

We have looked at what activities and programme items to have in order to make it a great weekend for everyone who joins in on the fun, including a selection of guests and we've listened to who YOU want to see!

The first of our guests is a man who is back in the Nordic region at the request of our voters who participated in the poll we had going earlier this year. It is someone who barely needs an introduction; the one and only living legend, Simon Furman! We are very excited to have him back at Auto Assembly Europe, and we hope that you are too!

We are working hard to bring you the best possible programme, making sure there is something for just about everyone. We will have not one, but TWO charity auctions during the weekend, auctioning off some great items, including signed photographs! The proceeds will be donated to a charity of our choosing. Full weekend attendees will get an additional BONUS PROGRAMME, and we have something very special planned! Apart from that, there will also be guest talks, FREE autograph sessions, competitions, and much more!

We're also bringing back the famous goodie bag, packed with awesome stuff for attendees, FOR FREE! For starters, we have copies of BOTH the 2009 and 2010 IDW Transformers comics with Auto Assembly exclusive cover arts by artist Nick Roche for the first 100 attendees, ALL of the Auto Assembly 2011 postcards with exclusive art on them, amazing bumper stickers, exclusive lanyards for you to have your Auto Assembly Europe passes in, and more!

Come to Auto Assembly Europe in Sweden this November and be part of a memorable weekend with lots of fun!

Please note:
  • The primary language of the convention is English. Depending on the number of attending children we might do some events (competitions in particular) in Swedish as well, but at the moment we can't make any promises. Since you can't get quite as much enjoyment of the convention when you don't understand the language, we are letting children under 12 years of age come in for free though (limit one free child for every adult in the group; additional children pay as 12- to 16-year olds).
  • The currency used at the convention is Swedish kronor, SEK. We advise attendees to get their money exchanged before the convention, and dealers to convert their prices to SEK. There are a few currency exchange stores in Uppsala, of which one is open both Saturday and Sunday, but it's still a wise idea to get the money exchanged in advance.
  • We do not have the capacity to handle card payments at the convention; only cash is accepted.
Check back regularly for more information. More pages will be added soon!
